On the occasion of the departure from Genoa of Commander
Basil Taylour of the British Royal Navy to take uf another
appointment, may I be permitted to represent to the head offic
the distinction he has won by hi strenuous work in the dis-
-charge of the delicate duties entrusted to him,
The energy and zeal he has displayed during the long
period he has been chief of the local Port Convoy Office have always been accompanied by the most exquisite tact in all his
daily relations with this Commard, especially with the Convoy.
and Escort branches of the same, as well as with all other
local Maritime Authorities. This Command, therefore, consi-
-ders ib a duty to draw attention to his case, should the
Ministry wish to bring to the notice of the British Naval
Authorities the highly meritorious work performed by Comman-
-der Taylour.
